The BlueChoice® hospital network was created based on geographic accessibility, the number of board-certified physicians on staff and status with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
BasicBlue and High Deductible plans: View the PPO Hospital List to locate hospitals for your clients on these plans. This listing includes more than 200 hospitals in Illinois. The following hospitals are providers in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois PPO Hospital Network. Although there may be some change in the PPO Hospital Network from time to time, selection of Participating Hospitals will continue to be based upon range of services, geographic location, and cost effectiveness of care.
