What is the Provider Finder^® Application?

Provider Finder is a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) integrated application that you can download for free to quickly and easily locate in-network doctors and hospitals.

What can I do with the Provider Finder^® App?

With the Provider Finder App, you can find a network doctor or hospital by name or specialty, or find the nearest urgent care facility by using your mobile phone's GPS location or inputting a zip code.

How do I get started?

Current and prospective members will need to search for BCBSIL in the iPhone App Store or Android Market to download the free App to your smartphone.

Searching by keywords provider, locator, doctor, health, blue, cross, shield, locate, find a doctor, and insurance will also return the Provider Finder App.

Do I have to be a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois member to use the Provider Finder^® App?

No. Both members and non-members are able to download the App and use its features.

What is the difference between Provider Finder^® App and the Provider Finder mobile web?

The App offers an option to use your mobile phone's GPS to find the nearest doctor, hospital or urgent care facility.

On which mobile devices can the Provider Finder^® App be used?

Currently, the Provider Finder^® App is available for download on Android phones and the iPhone.
