Product Summary - Blue MedicareRx

How do I become certified to sell Blue MedicareRx?

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that administers the Medicare program, has developed guidelines for plan sponsors to ensure that Medicare eligible beneficiaries are provided with the most accurate and complete information.

To comply with the CMS marketing guidelines:

  • We make certain that all producers are state certified to sell Blue MedicareRx, and that producers who are not certified will not receive commissions for sales of Blue MedicareRx;
  • We supply - and expect our contracted entities (such as producers) use - only materials that have been submitted to and approved by CMS.

To become certified, please contact your marketing consultant or General Agent for additional information, and

  • Complete the web-based training;
  • Then complete the Medicare Part D Certification checklist;
  • Upon completion of the course, we will mail you a 2008 Medicare contract amendment;
  • Sign the amendment and return to our offices to complete the certification process.

If you have any questions regarding your certification status, please call your Marketing Consultant or General Agent.
