These free wellness resources for BCBSIL members can help your patients take a more active role in matters concerning their health and well-being.




The Be Smart. Be Well. website is sponsored by BCBSIL, and includes videos on a variety of topics, such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), care-giving, domestic violence, drug safety, mental health, sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs), and more.

BCBSIL members can log on to this secure site to view claim information, request a replacement ID card, research/compare health care costs, complete a Health Risk Assessment (HRA), and more. Take a tour of Blue Access for Members.

This enhanced suite of resources and support services provides personalized attention, health advocacy and condition-specific information for participating member groups. Blue Care Connection  features include:

The Obesity Management site includes information for you and your patients. The Patient Education Tools section includes a layperson’s guide to medical terminology related to obesity, general weight loss information, nutrition and physical activity tools, and more.


The Medical Identity Theft Brochure  developed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), explains how medical identity theft occurs and how it differs from traditional identity theft. The brochure also offers tips on minimizing risk and steps victims can take to recover.


You can help promote tobacco cessation and weight management programs to your patients and encourage BCBSIL members to participate. To obtain a free supply of posters or tear-off pads to display in your office, contact your Provider Network Consultant
