BCBSIL is committed to providing personalized one-on-one education to our valued providers. You will experience the maximum result from our training effectiveness which will foster satisfaction with BCBSIL.
In offering a variety of education workshops, providers are allowed to choose based on their own office or individual needs.

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) Provider Network Relations team is pleased to present the following complimentary learning opportunity for BCBSIL independently contracted professional PPO providers.
We want to offer you the opportunity to go to one of two sessions a morning or afternoon session. As you know, the health care industry is constantly changing and evolving. We here at Provider Network Relations would like to keep you updated on the many initiatives that BCBSIL is involved in and how it will affect the provider community. We also would like you to learn about the electronic services offered by Availity® and RealMed® which can help improve administrative efficiencies in your office while saving time and money. You do not have to be a current Availity or RealMed user to attend.
Two sessions will be presented—choose the one that best fits your schedule.
Morning Session
Registration: 9:30 to 10 a.m.
Session: 10 a.m. to noon
Afternoon Session
Registration: 1:30 to 2 p.m.
Session: 2 to 4 p.m.

- ICD-10, Risk Adjustment, the Affordable Care Act
- Overview of Availity and RealMed
- Live demo of Electronic Refund Management (eRM) and the Claim Inquiry Resolution (CIR) Tool
- Eligibility and Benefits Inquiry Tools
- Electronic Alternatives (EFT, ERA, EPS*)
- Light refreshments will be served at both sessions
