SPRINGFIELD, Illinois — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) will pay tribute to active-duty military personnel, reservists, and veterans with free admission to the tournament during all four rounds for this Memorial Health Championship. Active and retired service people can receive one complimentary grounds ticket and one complimentary guest ticket for each day of tournament play, scheduled for July 15 – 18 at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield.
“We’re excited to offer this important opportunity to our military families as part of our overall commitment to supporting the military community and the people of Central Illinois,” said Harmony Harrington, vice-president of Community and Government Relations for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. “The tour event not only helps provide a boost for local businesses supporting the Memorial Health Championship, but it will also help improve community health outcomes – a shared goal of BCBSIL and Memorial Health System – as funds raised will benefit Memorial Health System’s five hospital foundations which are dedicated to improving the health of the community through nonprofit support.”

The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS will consist of a 156-player field, competing for a purse of $600,000 at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield. The 7,244-yard course was designed by World Golf Hall of Fame Member Hale Irwin in 1992.
