You can get a digital copy of your BCBSIL member ID card at any time through your BAM account. You will need your member ID number and group number to sign up or log in. You can find them in your policy welcome package and on your first premium bill, if applicable.

If you have an iOS mobile device, you can download your digital member ID card to your mobile device’s wallet. With this option, you can always access it, even if you don’t have good reception or an internet connection. There’s no need to wait for a physical card to come in the mail. Access is always at your fingertips.

Here are convenient ways you can pay your bill:

Online

• Log in to your  BAM account and select Billing and Payments to be redirected to the secure website for completing a payment by card.

Auto Bill Pay 

• To set up a recurring monthly payment, log in to your account and select Billing and Payments.

Phone

• To make a one-time payment over the phone, go to Contact Us to find the phone number to call for your health plan.
• You’ll need your BCBSIL member ID number, bank routing number and bank account number to complete your one-time payment by phone.

Mail 

• Pay by mail with a personal check, cashier’s check or money order.  

To do so, be sure you:

• Make the check payable to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois or BCBSIL.
• Write your account/member ID number on your check, cashier’s check or money order.
• Include the payment coupon that was sent to you with your bill. 
• Send your payment at least five business days before the payment due date to ensure it posts to your account in time.
• Mail your payment to the address on your bill.

In-Person

• The in-person option is not available for your first payment. Following payments can be made with cash at MoneyGram^®*
• MoneyGram locations in Walmart and Albertsons stores also take debit card payments.
• Bring a copy of your bill, which includes your account or billing ID number and your "receive code" with your payment.

To make the most of your benefits and save money, you’ll need a doctor, dentist or hospital that’s in your health plan network. The best place to start is in the Find Care section of our website. Here are some things you’ll find there:

Our Provider Finder^® tool. With Provider Finder, you can search for in-network doctors, hospitals, urgent care centers, outpatient care centers and more. Search as a guest or log in using your Blue Access for Members account to see results that fit your plan.

The Find a Dentist tool, to search our dental network for dentists, orthodontists and oral surgeons.

If your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois plan includes prescription drug coverage, use our Find a Pharmacy tool to search for pharmacies that give you preferred pricing on prescriptions.
