C1 Innovation Lab®
C1 stands for “Customer First” and it reimagines how employers and health plans work together to develop forward-thinking solutions that improve member experiences and health outcomes while driving down health care expenses. Launched in 2017, the C1 Innovation Lab is a dedicated team of researchers, designers, clinicians, customer service agents, data scientists, health care experts, consultants and technologists dedicated to improving health care.

Leveraging principles of Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design, the C1 Innovation Lab generates real-time insights through member-facing interactions and data analytics, engages in research and design activities, and collaborates with customers and National Accounts stakeholders to identify opportunities to create value for members and employers.
