Video: Chief Medical Officer Addresses COVID-19 Vaccine Concerns

As COVID-19 vaccines become more widely available in Illinois, people may have questions about getting vaccinated when they're eligible. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Derek Robinson addresses facts about the vaccines and common concerns.

“Each authorized COVID-19 vaccine has been studied in large trials of over 30,000 volunteers, involving people of different ages, sex, race, ethnicity, weight, and medical conditions,” Robinson says. “And that is why I've gotten vaccinated and encouraged my family members to do the same, which has given me more peace of mind every day.”
