All three Blue Door Neighborhood CenterSM locations in Chicago have reopened to provide in-person classes, workshops and other resources to members of the surrounding communities at no cost. The centers, which provided virtual services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrated with a series of block parties. "It's a great resource to have in the community," resident Hector Pardo said at the South Lawndale event, which included a farmers market and traditional Mexican dance performances by Ballet Folklórico Xochitl.
Virtual programming is still available, too. Visit BlueDoorCenterIL.com for more information about locations, hours and programming.
