BCBSIL Honors Chicago Heroes During NASCAR Weekend

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois honored City of Chicago police officers, firefighters and streets and sanitation workers with a behind-the-scenes look at how the city’s streets were converted into a NASCAR track and met with NASCAR Cup Series driver Bubba Wallace, who surprised them by revealing their names on his car.

The hometown heroes also received weekend passes to the race and concerts during the second NASCAR Chicago Street Race Weekend.

“It’s an opportunity for us at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois to give back to some of the people at the City of Chicago who work really hard on a day-to-day basis to keep us all safe,” says Bob Miller,  BCBSIL vice president of sales.
