CHICAGO — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois today announced its continued commitment to expanding access to quality, cost-effective health care, offering individual and family plans in every county in Illinois. Marketplace open enrollment began Nov. 1 and runs through Jan. 15, 2024.
“Health insurance is not ‘one size fits all,’” said Stephen Harris, BCBSIL president. “Our approach is to provide accessible coverage that is flexible and works best for Illinois consumers. This includes access to in-person and virtual care, a 24/7 nurse line in English and Spanish, and an exclusive savings program for prescription coverage that delivers best price on quality drugs.”
In addition to the robust coverage offered throughout the state, with a broader hospital network than 2023, a new pharmacy discount coverage has been added for 2024. This savings program for prescriptions delivers the best price on quality drugs. Also new for 2024, virtual primary care has been added through MDLive on the PPO product, available for members 18 and older.
