Blue Directions from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) allows you to conveniently manage enrollment and benefits online – thanks to our partnership with Employee Navigator, an industry-leader in administration platform services.
Step 1: Choose your benefit offerings
You'll pick up to four BCBSIL health plans plus other specialty benefits, and then set your contribution amount or percentage.
Step 2: Blue Directions Team Builds Portal
Will work with you to build a customized administration platform, specific to your group’s needs and will also provide training on how to best use the site.
Step 3: Employees access resources Employees can access educational materials and decision support tools online.
Step 4: Employees compare benefit options
Employees compare benefits options and costs, then enroll on a secure enrollment website.
Step 5: Employees select benefits Employee benefits selections get sent electronically to BCBSIL and other carriers.
Step 6: ID cards mailed
ID Cards will be mailed directly to your employees once enrollment information is completed on the carrier side.
Step 7: On-going maintenance and service questions The Blue Directions Support is here to support you throughout your journey. A toll-free phone number and email address connects you with a team of specialists dedicated to ensuring you have the best experience with Blue Directions. They’re able to answer questions or address any maintenance needs you might have with you Employee Navigator site.
