    SPEAKER: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois has Benefits Value Advisors available to help you any time, day or night. This is Keisha. She's an experienced Benefits Value Advisor who helps members research doctors and facilities, get cost estimates for procedures and services, schedule appointments, and understand their health plan benefits. 

    This is Maria and Jay Jones. They've been married for three years. And Maria recently started a food truck business. And it's a big hit with their community. The food truck is a dream come true. Let's take a look at how Benefits Value Advisors helped Maria and Jay navigate their health plan, while enjoying dinner in their backyard. 

    Maria asks Jay about his doctor's appointment on Friday. Jay tells Maria the doctor recommends he get a CT scan of his stomach. But he's not sure when he'll have the time to get it between work and helping out with the food truck. Maria tells Jay not to worry. She explains their health plan has Benefits Value Advisors, who can help him find a provider and schedule the appointment. 

    He logs in to the Blue Access for Members site on his laptop and selects the Chat feature.     She recalls it's almost time for her annual mammogram. BVA Call Requirement: You must call a BVA prior to scheduling non-emergent Outpatient CT Scans and/or Outpatient MRIs to receive full benefits. If you don't call a BVA before your procedure, your benefits will be reduced by $100.
