Drug Plan Transition

If you’re new to our plan, you might be taking medicines that aren't covered.

You can get a limited supply of these medicines if you:

  • Enrolled in a prescription drug plan or a Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plan during the Open Enrollment Period
  • Became eligible for Medicare after the first of the year
  • Switched to our plan after the first of the year
  • Had a change in care level (like being admitted or discharged from a long-term care facility)
  • Were affected by changes to the covered drug list (formulary)

If one of these situations applies to you, ask your doctor to switch your prescription to a covered medication or request an exception to keep using your current medication.

Download the Prescription Drug Transition Policy on our Forms and Documents page by selecting your plan.
