Dental Coverage

Blue Cross Community MMAI (Medicare-Medicaid Plan)℠ members will use DentaQuest®* providers for dental care. Dentists on the list are in our plan network. Some dental care requires prior approval. For those services, you must have approval before getting treatment. Without approval, you may have to pay for those services.

  • 2 cleanings per year
  • 2 exams per year
  • 1 fluoride treatment per year
  • Annual x-rays
  • Deep Cleanings
  • Treatment of Gum Disease
  • Emergency dental services

What Is Not Covered?

  • Cosmetic dentistry
  • Tooth bleaching
  • Implants

Comprehensive Dental Benefit

In addition to your dental coverage, you may be able to get a supplemental dental benefit as a Blue Cross Community MMAI plan member. This benefit — a $800 allowance — would help pay for dental services that would NOT otherwise be covered by Medicare or Medicaid.
