Someone from your health plan will call or text you soon to complete your HRS. The HRS will help us find out your health habits, any health risks, and if you need a Care Coordinator. You may also call Member Services to complete your HRS.
Always Keep Your Member ID Card With You and Show It Every Time You Need Services
You will get your health plan member ID card(s) in the mail. Use your ID card for services covered by your health plan.
If you did not receive your member ID card, you can:
- Call Member Services or
- Log in to your online account to access your digital member ID card
Log in to Your Blue Access for Members℠ Account
This is the secure online portal for our members. It is where you can:
- Find a doctor, hospital, or other providers
- Take your HRS
- Access your digital member ID card
- Request a new member ID card or print a temp ID while you wait for your new ID card to come in the mail
- Check your claims and plan information
- And more.
Schedule an Initial Health Exam With Your Primary Care Provider (PCP) Within 30 Days of Joining
During the first exam, the PCP will learn about your health care needs. Your member ID card has your PCP on it. If you want to select a new PCP or change your PCP:
- Log in to BAM or use the BCBSIL Mobile App, or
- Call Member Services at 1-877-860-2837
Visit the Provider Finder® to search for PCPs.
For MLTSS Members: Show your Medicare and Medicaid ID card for medical care. For prescription (drug) coverage, use your Medicare Part-D ID card. BCCHP will work with your other plans and service providers.
To Keep Your Illinois Medicaid Coverage, You Will Need to Renew Once a Year.
This is called redetermination. You will get a notice from the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) a month prior to your renewal date. Fill out the forms on time to keep your coverage.
