You should use in-network providers. If you choose to go to a doctor who is not part of our network, you may have to pay for the treatment. Except in an emergency, the plan may not cover care that you get from an out-of-network provider.

Choose a Primary Care Provider (PCP)

You must choose a PCP when you join the plan. Your PCP is your personal doctor. They know your health history. They will give you most of the care you need. Your PCP may send you to a specialist if needed. With BCCHP, you can pick your PCP. Need to choose a new PCP or change your current PCP? You can do this online by logging in to our secure member portal, Blue Access for Members℠ (go to My Health > Find Care). Or you can call Member Services.

1 Prescription drug benefits are not covered for Managed Long Term Supports and Services (MLTSS) plan members. MLTSS members should contact their Medicare Part-D plan for prescription coverage. 

2 Prime Therapeutics LLC provides pharmacy benefit management services for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. BCBSIL, as well as several independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans, has an ownership interest in Prime Therapeutics.
